Students at Anna McDonald School helped Knock Out heart disease and stroke, by collecting over $8,000.00 this year. Students who collected donations online at www.heart.org/hoops, were eligible to participate in the 2016 Knock Out Tournament and receive their Super Pup and lanyard. Students who opted to collect donations the old-fashioned way, were also eligible to participate with any monetary donation. All students, collecting $10 or more, also received a RED Knock Out Tournament t-shirt.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the families and friends who donated their time, effort and donations to the America Heart Association. This is a valuable opportunity for you child to learn about heart disease, sodium, choosing water over sugary drinks, importance of fruits and vegetables, exercising 60 minutes each day, and saying no to tobacco.
