Our school is proud to collaborate with the American Heart Association to help kids with special hearts! Mark your calendars now for our upcoming Hoops For Heart event taking place on Thursday, February 11, 2016.
YOU can help the American Heart Association by helping your child make a web page. It is safe, effective & saves YOU time for raising life-saving donations. Visit www.heart.org/hoops and click on "Students Sign Up" to get started. Students can earn a mystery gift if they register and send 10 emails by January 4, 2016! Parents, we are excited to kick off Hoops for Heart! Your student is becoming a Heart Hero by taking care of his/her own heart, spreading the message of the American Heart Association, and raising funds for lifesaving research.
This year the students at Anna McDonald School will have the opportunity to help “Knock-Out” heart disease and stroke. During the week of December 7th, students will be receiving information regarding this year’s event. Students who donate, any amount of money, will be entered into the Knock-Out Tournament on February 11, 2016. Students who collect $10 or more will also receive a specially designed RED OUT Event t-shirt to wear the day of the Knock-Out Tournament. The only prizes that will be awarded this year will be the DOGS (last year we had ducks) and the lanyard. We are foregoing the Hoops For Heart prizes. If you haven’t already, please register for our school team at heart.org/hoops or by searching “Jump/Hoops” in the app store. JOIN OUR PACK! Collect all 6! Students at Anna McDonald School are gearing up for the 10th annual Dodge Ball Tournament on Friday, December 18th. Students will be participating in a variety of activities the next two weeks, that will help them with dodging, throwing, aiming, strategies, cooperation, team-building and hand-eye coordination. All of which are vital for a successful game of dodge ball. We wish all of our classes the best of luck in the tournament.
