We continued into the week focusing on activities that can also be used out at recess. Our first activity was a basketball shooting game called KNOCK-OUT. Students form a single-file line at the free-throw line, in front of the basketball hoop. The first two students in line have a basketball. The OBJECT of the game is to make a basket BEFORE the player BEHIND you makes their basket. If the player behind you in line, make their basket first, then you are KNOCKED-OUT of the game.
This activity works on following directions, sportsmanship, upper body strength and problem-solving skills.
